28.4.

Technically, a "gram" is a unit of mass, while an "ounce" is a unit of weight, but assuming that the material is at sea-level elevation on the surface of the earth, where g = acceleration due to gravity = 9.80 meters (32.15 feet) per second per second, there are approximately 28.4 grams mass in an ounce of weight.  (Weight equals mass X g.)  This applies to any material, not only to gold.  However, also be aware that people in the jewelry business use other weight/mass units that go by different names than the two mentioned here.  As far as I know, a "gram" of gold is the same mass as a "gram" of any other material.

There are approximately 28.35 gm (grams) of the metric gadget in a single oz. (ounce) of the British Imperial and US standards for weights and measures. yet another answer: one million avoirdupois ounce = 28.35 gm one million troy ounce = 31.10 gm (Troy ozare used for weighing gold, and different helpful metals.) one million fluid ounce = 29.fifty seven ml

I like the real GOLD nuggets.

As most gold is mined as very fine dust and tiny nuggets, the larger (over 1oz) nuggets are very rare! Actually they are as rare as large diamonds!

I would suggest you look into large nuggets!

To see the 'live' spot NY gold price and some museum size gold nuggets I suggest you visit a great site I found a few months ago. I purchase a few nuggets from them just about a month ago, and not only are they beautiful to look at but in just the last few weeks they have really moved up in value!

I'm actually saving to purchase others!
